First appointment with a periodontist: horough, considerate, explained everything clearly, seemed very knowledgeable and expert in his work–dental assistants very helpful

Two and a half hours of drilling and chiseling were ameliorated by the care and concern of the dentist and her assistant. There’s only thing that annoys me. Several months ago, the dentist explained the complete plan of treatment that she recommended and quoted me a cost for that plan and I paid it in advance. I assumed the cost included everything in the plan. But on this visit, I learned that any part of the plan that involves treatment by a periodontist or an endodontist will entail additional costs. I think I should have been informed of this ahead of time.

I went in to Gentle Dental for a deep cleaning. I was pretty nervous. Luckily Faiza did my cleaning. She made it a practically painless experience. I like that she is patient and explains the procedure. Today I do not feel any after-affects! I have another appointment with Faiza and will go in without trepidation.

I feel like I was taken advantage of
I was told that I needed a “deep cleaning”. I had this done on Friday past. This cleaning was no different than any other cleaning I have had done in my life. My insurance doesn’t cover this. I had to pay out of pocket for something that my insurance would have paid for if it was properly coded. I haven’t decided if I’m going to return there.

I only go to Gentle Dental because of my confidence in Dr. Ortiz. I live in Boca but go out of my was to see Dr. Ortiz. She treats people with concern and epitomizes great client service.
With others I feel like I’m a means to a commission.
